- Permanent, full-time (1.0 FTE), 40 hours per week (more than 1 position)
Mō te tūranga - About the role
Due to expansion of the services and secondments of some of our staff to various roles we have an exciting opportunity for a physiotherapist with experience in cardiorespiratory or keen interest developing skills in this area to join our inpatient Allied Health team at Dunedin Hospital.
Our cardiorespiratory team covers the following:
- Wards- surgical (including upper GI, Urology, Colorectal and Plastics)
- Vascular
- Respiratory
- Cardiothoracics Renal
- Intensive/Critical care
- High-dependency unit
- Surgical High Acuity Unit
- CCU
- Paediatric ward
- maternity ward
From time to time may be required to cover other inpatient settings as required.
Please note this role requires you to participate in weekend and on-call rosters therefore flexibility is essential.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic team-player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have the drive to develop quality services in collaboration with others while working alongside a committed inter-professional team of health professionals.
Ideal candidate will be in their 3rd year of experience, have interest in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy and be able to work autonomously or with minimum support in a variety of inpatient settings including surgical and respiratory wards, and intensive/critical/high-dependency care and High Acuity area.
Utu whānui -Salary range
This role belongs to the PSA/DHBs Allied, Public Health and Technical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and falls between Step 3 ($86,045 p.a) and Step 7 ($107,600 p.a pro rata) of the Degree-Based Allied, Public Health and Technical scale.
