Registered Nurse – Community Programmes

  • Dunedin Hospital, Full time permanent and part time fixed term roles available
  • Salary Band - $81,863 to $106,739 pa pro-rata + KiwiSaver

About the Role

Community Programmes is a mental health service based at Dunedin Hospital providing recovery focused group programmes for adults with a wide range of moderate to severe mental health issues, living within the community.

We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who are dynamic, innovative and wish to join a service that is committed to high standards of practice.

About you

As a Registered Nurse with recent experience working in Mental Health, you will be able to put your knowledge and skills to good use assisting the team to provide emergency mental health assessments.

You must be Registered with the New Zealand Nursing Council, hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate which allows you to work in mental health and be eligible to live and work in New Zealand.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A high standard of competence practice and performance
  • An enjoyment of the challenge of working with patients in this setting
  • Dynamic and innovative team-oriented drive
  • A wish to join a service that is committed to high standards of practice
  • The want to work in an environment that supports on-going learning and professional development
  • Two plus years experience in a Mental Health setting; acute inpatient or community
  • Experience in group approaches
  • Interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)/Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
