About the Role
Ward 11 rehabilitation/transition mental health unit is a 10-bed rehabilitation ward that supports people who are working on their mental health recovery journey. Rehabilitation/sub-acute setting, for adults who have a long-term mental illness and co-existing problems.
Ward 11 is entering a period of change and is considering alternative environments. This is a permanent position.

About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Registration with the Nursing Council of NZ and a current APC with a scope that allows you to practice in mental health
- Exceptional communication skills with a non-judgmental manner along with a positive attitude
- Additional clinical skills in the areas of physical health and addictions could be a significant advantage
- Experience working within an adult mental health environment with rehabilitation experience an advantage.
- All employees of Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand - Southern working with in Mental Health and Addiction Services are expected to demonstrate a commitment to “The Seven Real Skills” (Te Pou Workforce Development, see www.tepou.co.nz/letsgetreal).
