Permanent, Full Time Role (40 hours per week)

Salary between $73,473 and $76,551 depending on experience

About the Role – what's in it for me?

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide essential administrative support to Clinical Coordinators and Clinical Needs Assessors across Otago. As part of a close-knit team of six administrators, you will play a key role in coordinating services that support people to remain safe, well, and independent within their communities.

What you will be doing:

  • Facilitating service arrangements with community-based providers
  • Responding to phone and email enquiries
  • Completing accurate and timely data entry and referral processing
  • Liaising with clients, family/whānau, health professionals, and external agencies
  • Supporting the referral, assessment, and service coordination processes for community and residential support services

This is a busy and varied role. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced clinical and administrative professionals, develop your knowledge of community health services, and contribute meaningfully to positive outcomes for people across Otago. Hours for the fulltime role will be Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm.

About you

What you will bring:

  • Minimum level 2 NCEA
  • At least 2 years of clinical administrative experience or Experience in health administration and data entry would be beneficial, in addition of knowledge of the health sector
  • Knowledge of administration policies, systems, and procedures.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Evidence of good literacy and numeracy skills. 
  • Able to edit written documents, correcting grammatical mistakes and logic.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The Care Coordination Centre (CCC) provides a Single Point of Entry (SPOE) for referrals to access clinical needs assessment and home based and residential support services for people with needs due to age related and health related needs.

Our team is made up of dedicated and supportive professionals who play a vital role in ensuring clients receive timely access to the services they need. We provide a broad range of administrative support functions for the Care Coordination Centre, including processing referrals, data entry, and working across a range of electronic systems such as SIPICS, interRAI, and Health Connect South. We also respond to a variety of enquiries via phone and email from clients, whānau, health professionals, and community providers.
