Our Pharmacy Department at Dunedin Hospital is seeking a positive and enthusiastic Pharmacist to join our friendly and supportive team on a part time, permanent basis to work within our Clinical Trials unit.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll have the chance to build new skills while playing a key part in the operational delivery of clinical trials.

Your responsibilities will include dispensing trial medications (both sterile and non-sterile) and ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation, NZ Pharmacy Standards, clinical trial protocols, and International Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.

Working closely with our Clinical Trials Pharmacist, you'll support a wide range of clinical trial activities. You'll also collaborate with international trial partners and local researchers to help establish new studies, ensuring all procedures and protocols are in place so patients receive their study medications safely and efficiently.

There is also the opportunity to take ownership of specific studies from initiation through to completion. This autonomy allows you to make a meaningful impact while delivering a high-quality service to research teams. To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • An Annual Practicing Certificate in the Scope of Pharmacist
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused
