Casual Enrolled Nurse Forensic Inpatient – Ward 9a

  • Wakari Hospital, Dunedin
  • Casual, as and when required
  • Salary between $33.52 - $39.95 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic Enrolled Nurses – preferably with Mental Health or Intellectual Disability nursing experience to join our supportive multidisciplinary team, however we are also offering New Graduate opportunities that are supported by the Enrolled Nurse Transition into Practice programme. 

 

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your clinical skills, working alongside patients in a complex environment to meet their identified needs in a multi-disciplinary setting. The emphasis is on the delivery of safe client focused care in a changing dynamic setting, working closely with the Associate Charge Nurse Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialist and Registered Nurses within our service.

About you

You must be registered as an Enrolled Nurse with NCNZ (Enrolled Nurse Scope of Practice, NCNZ, 2010) and have a current Practicing Certificate.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous mental health nursing experience
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Have a full drivers licence
  • Have a passion for supporting people with an intellectual disability from admission to discharge
