Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Southern Blood & Cancer Service Oncology Outpatients

Salary between $114,025 and $121,444 per annum pro rata

 

  • Supporting Dunedin and the rural satellite sites across the Southern region
  • Permanent position
  • Part-time 0.4 FTE vacancy (16hrs per week)

About the Role

We have an exciting part-time, permanent opportunity for a senior registered nurse looking for that next step in their nursing career.  The rural satellite sites enable SBCS to provide treatments to patients closer to home.  This role job shares with another CNC staff member.

 

You will:

  • Work collaboratively with the Charge Nurse Manager and Associate Charge Nurse Manager,
  • Promote excellence in clinical practice, nursing professional standards, and ensuring the provision of high-quality nursing care.
  • Monday to Friday between 0830 and 1700, exact times to be negotiated.
  • Be vital in ensuring patients receive their cancer treatments in rural areas (Dunstan, Oamaru and Balclutha) in a timely and safe manner.
  • Ensure remote patient treatments are safe and are scheduled when due. 
  • Liaise with the pharmacy (APU) team to ensure the treatments are being sent on the correct day to the correct site.

About you

You will have proven clinical credibility, excellent group facilitation skills and advanced communication techniques such as conflict resolution, diffusion and mediation skills. You will have excellent organisational and time management skills, in addition to a professional can do attitude in line with our values.

 

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Be a senior Registered Nurse with at least 3 years' experience in oncology/haematology nursing
  • Hold a current and clean NZ drivers licence
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Experience in a co-ordination or management role
  • Have a high degree of computer literacy will be highly advantageous.

Salary Range

This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the expired NZNO CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the Pay Scale, between $114,025 and $121,444 p.a dependant on relevant experience.
