About the Role

Teaching and training are important to us here in Southern and that is why our RMOs have a protected session every week. Several other regular activities that House Officers can join whether it is the regular House Officer Education sessions or the journal clubs, X-ray meetings or rounds from the various services. There is always something happening!

About the Location

The main cities and towns in the Southern District include Dunedin, Invercargill, Queenstown, and Wānaka. Southern is world famous for its picturesque mountains, fiords, glaciers, coastlines, and lakes that are often depicted on postcards and movies. About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration under the NZREX pathway with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council's website at MCNZ

It is requirement of the Medical Council of New Zealand that your qualifications are approved through EPIC. If you have a commitment to working in New Zealand, it is highly recommended that you start this process as soon as possible to allow your subsequent registration to be undertaken in a timely fashion.
