About the Role
The Information and Records Coordinator supports the Information Management team and wider organisation by responding to information and records management enquiries, providing guidance, and assisting with records processing. This role helps the organisation meet its obligations under the Public Records Act 2005 and strengthens relationships with services across the motu, particularly in Te Waipounamu.
The Coordinator helps to manage the IM central mailbox and works with services to ensure their physical and digital records are stored, maintained and disposed of in a compliant and efficient way.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
Essential
- NCEA Level 2 (minimum)
- At least one year of experience in a role with records management responsibilities
- Ability to provide timely, accurate, consistent and friendly responses to customer enquiries
- Understanding of the significance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the ability to apply its principles meaningfully in your work
Desired
- A tertiary qualification in information or records management (or a related discipline)
- One or more years of experience in a dedicated records or information management role within a public office or local government agency
- Knowledge of the Public Records Act 2005 and relevant Disposal Authorities
