About the role:
- Reporting to the ACNM for PaR
- Rotating shifts Monday to Sunday with 12 and 8 hour shifts available
- Strive for excellence in clinical services and focuses on patient centred care
- Use advanced clinical skills to identify patients at risk and work closely with the primary teams to monitor and implement interventions to prevent deterioration
- Provide specialist PaR nursing care and expertise both in direct care delivery
- Mentor staff so they too gain further knowledge and skill
- Act in the roles of clinician, educator, consultant, researcher, leader/change agent and care coordinator/case manager in the pursuit of clinical excellence and improved health outcomes
- Supported to complete the required New Zealand outreach nurse competency assessment
- We would consider FTE between 0.6 and 0.75 for this role

About you:
- Current Nursing Council registration and APC
- Proven clinical nursing experience in acute or critical care, ED/ICU/HDU
- Working towards relevant postgraduate qualifications at a minimum of a Diploma or/and a Master's degree e.g. health assessment, critical care
- Advanced learning and contemporary knowledge in either Acute Care, HDU, ED or ICU nursing
- Current Core Advanced certification
- Holds Level 4 or Senior Nurse PDRP or Level 3 and working towards Level 4
Salary range
This role belongs to the NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($116,040 p.a) and Step 3 ($127,674 p.a pro-rata) of the Designated Senior Nurse scale Grade 2.
