Rehabilitation Services Administrator at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Southern, Otago

  • Based in Wakari, to cover across rehabilitation services on both Wakari and Dunedin sites
  • Permanent full time roles
  • Salary between $72,035 - $75,050 p.a pro-rata

About the role

The Rehabilitation Administrator will contribute to the smooth running of the community services teams by providing efficient and timely administrative support to the teams.

This role will carry out a wide range of administrative duties and provide essential support to allied health, nursing, medical staff and managers within the team.

Administrative tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Timely entry into patient information systems (SiPics)
  • Payroll
  • Meeting preparation
  • Meeting minutes
  • General administrative support for the team with cover into the ward and medical secretary role when required to ensure smooth running of the entire service

About you

This role requires a highly motivated and organised person with a strong ability to prioritise competing demands in an efficient manner, whilst continually learning in an ever-changing environment.

Ideally you will also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a busy administrator role
  • Be a strong team player, with the ability and desire to work cohesively across the team
  • Previous experience with a patient management system
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both in written and verbal form
  • Competent and confident using the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
  • A strong eye for detail
  • Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision
  • Respectful and professional nature handling confidential information
  • Have a natural flair for building and fostering positive relationships
