- Salary between $81,565 and $89,491 depending on experience

About the role
Our talented team of clinical coders deliver accurate, thorough information for the health of our region.
You will be responsible for identifying and translating inpatient medical procedures, interventions and diagnoses into code using various systems such as ICD 10-AM 12th Edition (and any subsequent editions), the Australian Coding Standards (ACS) and the Australian Classification of Health Interventions (ACHI).
The role is a full-time opportunity working Monday - Friday, based at Dunedin Hospital – please note remote work is a possibility for experienced Clinical Coders trained in NZ (or Australian) Clinical Coding.

About you
The successful applicant will have coded in ICD-10-AM 12th Edition, and be a recognised Level 2 to 5 Clinical Coder in the NZ Clinical Coding Framework.
To be successful in this role, you will also need to demonstrate the following:
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to work to deadlines
- High standard of accuracy whilst working with complex information
- Ability to work well within a team
- Excellent comprehension and organisational skills
- Motivated and reliable
- Prior administrative experience and/or research skills is desirable but not essential
