About the role

The position involves working as part of a dynamic team utilising innovative technology and new initiatives to deliver contemporary radiation therapy to patients within the Otago and Southland regions.

We have 2 Elekta Versa HD linear accelerators equipped with ABC Breath hold equipment. We have BrainLab with Exactrac on our existing Varian Truebeam to continue to provide the National Stereotactic Radiotherapy and Radiosurgery Service for New Zealand and enhance our established SABR program. A Siemens go. Open Pro CT with Varian Respiratory Gating system and a number of other radiation oncology specific features. The department utilises the full suite of Elekta software including Monaco Treatment Planning System and MOSAIQ Patient Management System.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will need to have the following:

• Current registration with the MRTB and a current APC, with the right to work in New Zealand
• Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals
• Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
• The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused

This role belongs to the APEX Radiation Therapists Multi-Employer Collective Agreement (08 April 2024 - 07 April 2026) with the Radiation Therapists payscale – Step 1 $77,087 to Step 8 $110,210.
