Healthcare Assistant at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Southern, Otago

About the role

As a healthcare assistant, you will be involved in:

  • supporting our nurses and other members of the healthcare team
  • patient supervision and/or movement
  • stock reconciliation
  • ward maintenance
  • patient cares, as required.

Becoming a healthcare assistant in the health sector is a great opportunity to:

  • use your caring and empathetic nature in your work
  • receive on the job training and support
  • gain a NZQA Level 3 certificate (Health and Wellbeing for Hospitals and Health Sector). Fees are fully funded.
