About the role

Emergency Psychiatric Services (EPS) provide a 24/7 urgent triage and crisis assessment service in a variety of locations for people experiencing mental health issues.

This is an exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity to become part of the team at the Emergency Psychiatric Service. Acute ward experience or community crisis experience is required for this position.

About you

As a Registered Nurse with recent experience working in Mental Health, you will be able to put your knowledge and skills to good use assisting the team to provide emergency mental health assessments.

You must be Registered with the New Zealand Nursing Council, hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate which allows you to work in mental health and be eligible to live and work in New Zealand.

The successful candidate will be a Duly Authorised Officer (DAO) or you will receive specialist Duly Authorised Officer (Mental Health Act 1992 and amendments) training. Remuneration for this is in addition to base salary.

  • The want to work in an environment that supports on-going learning and professional development
  • Two plus years experience in a Mental Health setting; acute inpatient or community
