About the role
Support surgery for patients of all ages, predominantly in Ophthalmology, while also supporting other areas within the perioperative team in Dunedin as required.
- Coordinate and facilitate the smooth transition of both elective and acute patients
- Care for patients across the continuum of care, from pre-admission through to discharge
- Support patients admitted for a variety of non-theatre procedures
- Initiate and participate in quality improvement activities
- Embrace technological advancements
- Contribute to the new Dunedin Hospital planning and transition
- Create responsive solutions to problems
- Provide big-picture thinking, planning, and implementation

About you
You will have the following:
- New Zealand Nursing registration with a current APC.
- Proven leadership experience.
- A strong vision for day surgery services.
- Airway management skills (desirable but not essential).

Salary range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the expired NZNO CEA. The salary will be in accordance with the DSN Pay Scale, between $114,025 and $121,444 per annum pro-rata, depending on relevant experience.
