About the role
We are now taking applications for three fixed-term Intern Pharmacist positions within Health New Zealadnd | Te Whatu Ora Southern, starting January 2027. Two positions are available within the pharmacy department at Dunedin Hospital, and one position is available within the pharmacy department at Southland Hospital.
The pharmacy departments within Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Southern have excellent reputations and are an integral part of the tertiary teaching hospital and the services we provide. During your intern year, you will experience all areas of hospital pharmacy, including significant clinical training (with responsibility for your own ward area under supervision), medicines information, pharmacy projects, and all aspects of dispensing processes (inpatient, outpatient, and limited aseptic experience).
