About the role
This role is responsible for assisting the RMO Unit in providing an end-to-end, seamless, and transparent Annual RMO Recruitment Cycle service to clinical services.
The RMO Unit Recruitment Coordinator will provide recruitment activity support through coordination and administration during the Annual RMO Recruitment Cycle (ARC), as well as arranging orientation for RMOs who commence throughout the year, in addition to the annual intake sessions.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- coordinating orientation requirements and liaising with relevant services
- facilitating relocation services and approval requests in line with employment agreements and policy
- collating references and communicating with incoming candidates
- supporting candidates employed through the ARC to obtain registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- coordinating the transfer of details for incoming RMOs transferring to or from other districts.
Competing priorities are inherent in this role, therefore it is essential you have the flexibility and ability to reprioritise your workload to meet the dynamic needs of the service.

- bring previous administration or coordination experience
- have strong computer skills (essential)
- demonstrate a high level of accuracy, sound judgement, and confidentiality
- be a fast learner who retains knowledge and anticipates potential issues
- have excellent time management, prioritisation, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- have a flexible approach with the ability to successfully prioritise workload
- have previous experience in recruitment, HR administration, or the health sector (highly desirable).
