Oral Health Therapist / Dental Therapist

We have an opportunity available for Registered Dental Therapist / Oral Health Therapist to work as part of our Community Oral Health Service covering the Central Otago region. You will have the opportunity to work across all of our Central Otago Oral Health Clinics located in Queenstown, Wanaka, Cromwell and Alexandra.

About you / the opportunity
You'll recognise, diagnose and treat oral abnormalities and disease and where appropriate refer children for further treatment. You'll be responsible for maintaining the Oral Health of Children in our clinics, educating Children and their families on Oral Health and the prevention of Oral Health disease. You'll work alongside a Dental Assistant as part of a wider team who is committed to delivering quality health services.
To be considered for this role you must be registered with the Dental Council of New Zealand as a Dental Therapist and hold a current annual practising certificate.
You should have a natural empathy to children and have excellent communication skills.
You will need to have the flexibility to be able to cover rostered evening shifts. You will also need to be able to work in other clinics throughout the District; on occasion, this may see you staying away overnight. You will also need to hold a full clean NZ Driver Licence.
