Are you looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Secretary to join our friendly team at Te Punaka Oraka: Public Health Nursing on a full-time, permanent basis.
About the role
The key purpose of the role is to provide secretarial and general administrative support for the Public Health Nursing service. You will work as part of an effective team to develop and maintain administrative services for the department.
This is a role that will enable you to demonstrate outstanding coordination skills, allow you to work autonomously and provide ample opportunities to use your initiative. This is a demanding role working with a high level of secretarial tasks and interfacing with a large multidisciplinary team, so if you are looking for your next career challenge, look no further!
About you
We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with a variety of people and tasks, often all at the same time! Your background will be in varied secretarial positions that demonstrate your ability to provide high quality administration services within a busy office setting. Previous hospital administration experience and familiarity with patient management systems will be a huge advantage but we will also consider applicants that can show us they have transferable skills from previous roles.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have the following:
- Previous experience in a secretarial role (preferably in the health sector)
- Time management skills - having a knack for multi-tasking
- Ability to communicate clearly, both in written and verbal form
- Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision
- Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft teams, SharePoint, Microsoft suite including word, Excel and Outlook
- A strong eye for detail
- Respectful and professional nature handling confidential information
- Have a natural flair for building and fostering positive relationships
