Registered Nurse - Lakes District Queenstown at Southern District Health Board (Invercargill/Dunedin), Otago

This is a great opportunity for you to be part of a great team working in one of the most enviable parts of the country!

About you

The successful applicants must have the ability to initiate and accept responsibility, work autonomously where appropriate or necessary and have the ability to function well in a multidisciplinary team. You will also be part of an on-call roster to assist with transfers. It is preferred that applicants have a minimum three years post graduate with ED experience.

You will be responsible for providing a high standard of nursing care to all patients, using knowledge-based practise and a holistic nursing approach, in accordance with quality and legislative requirements.

You must be registered in accordance with the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 as a Registered Nurse and have a current Practising Certificate.

Lake Wakatipu set against the dramatic Southern Alps and Queenstown, renowned for adventure sports, is also a base for exploring the region's vineyards and historic mining towns. There's bungy jumping off Kawarau Gorge suspension bridge and jet-boating on the Shotover and Dart rivers. In winter, there's skiing on the slopes of the Remarkables and Coronet Peak.
