Our team at Dunedin Hospital are inviting applications for highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurses to join our friendly team on a permanent basis.

Mō te tūranga - About the role

The Cardiology Department at Dunedin Hospital is looking for Registered Nurses with experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiology or Acute Care (i.e. ICU/HDU/ED) to join the team.

The Dunedin Cath Lab provides acute and elective cardiac care for Southland and Otago and is the Cardiac referral centre for five smaller hospitals along with Revascularisation, Device Therapy and Structural Heart treatments.

We're looking for nurses who are experienced and organised, friendly and calm, able to work independently and at the same time genuinely interested in the best outcome for both patient and team.

To be considered the candidates must have or demonstrate the following:

  • Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current APC, with the right to work in New Zealand
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused

This role belongs to the NZNO Nursing and Midwifery Collective Agreement and falls between Step 2 and Step 7
