Registered Nurse - Children's Ward at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Southern, Otago

Mō te tūranga - About the role

Here in Dunedin Hospital's Children's Ward, we are fortunate to have a modern and bright workspace with excellent facilities to ensure the very best possible care for our young patients and their families/whanau.

As a Registered Nurse on our Children's Ward, you will be working as part of a friendly and supportive team on a multi-specialty ward. The ward caters for children in our region aged 0-15 years.

This role will be placed on rostered shifts, 24/7.

Mōu ake - About you

To succeed in this role, you will need to have the following:

  • Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current APC, with the right to work in New Zealand
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused
  • Experience in a paediatric setting with prior involvement in child and family health
  • A passion and focus for working with families/whanau with compassion and kindness

Utu whānui - Salary range

This role belongs to the NZNO Nursing & Midwifery Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($66,570 p.a pro rata) and Step 7 ($95,340 p.a pro rata)
