Mō te tūranga - About the role
You'll have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and expertise in rehabilitation with medical, orthopaedic and neurological conditions such as stroke. You will also have the opportunity to support, teach and upskill students and rotational staff.
We take pride in supporting our staff to grow and we enable ongoing professional development including regular team in-services, senior staff mentoring and peer review, a comprehensive on-call competency training framework, and access to course and conference funding. We work closely with the University of Otago' School of Physiotherapy and support student education throughout clinical placements. Our team is also developing and implementing simulation training resources and programmes to enhance educational opportunities for our staff and students.
Mōu ake - About you
Ideally, you will bring to us a minimum of three years of physiotherapy experience that ideally includes working in an inpatient setting with patients with stroke and other neurological conditions. You would be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of optimising patient outcomes and facilitating effective rehabilitation, using a patient centred and evidence based approach to goal setting and intervention.
In addition to the experience you bring us, you will have enthusiasm and a willingness to commit to our team and patients. You will be expected to be active in service quality initiatives, therefore be proactive, innovative and have a quality driven leadership approach.
For this permanent role covering the service, you will need to be a New Zealand registered Physiotherapist with a current annual practising certificate.

Utu whānui - Salary range
This role belongs to the PSA/DHBs Allied, Public Health and Technical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and falls between step 1 ($59,035 per annum) and step 8 ($85,992 per annum pro rata) of the Degree-Based Allied, Public Health and Technical scale.
