Mō te tūranga - About the role
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will:
- specialise in Peritoneal dialysis care
- mentor staff as they gain renal and peritoneal knowledge and skills
- collaborate across the organisation
- develop in the roles of PD nurse specialist clinician, educator, leader/change agent, quality improvement and assurance, care coordinator/case manager and patient, family, whanau advocate
- pursue clinical excellence and improve health outcomes
- have rostered days Monday to Friday between 0800 and 1700, exact times to be negotiated.
If you are not yet at a specialist nurse level, you may also be employed in a 2-year training programme for Registered Nurse to Clinical Nurse Specialist.

You will have:
- eligibility to work in NZ with current APC
- proven clinical credibility and experience in oncology/haematology nursing
- excellent group facilitation skills
- advanced communication techniques such as conflict resolution, diffusion, and mediation skills.
- a dynamic personality and great communication and time management skills.

Utu whānui - Salary range
This role belongs to the NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between the step 1 ($101,089 p.a) and Step 3 ($111,695 p.a prorata) of the Designated Senior Nurse Scale, Grade 2.
