Child and Family Mental Health Services (CAFMHS)

Central Lakes, Dunstan

Salary band - $59,035 - $85,992 p.a pro rata and Kiwisaver for SW or OT, $72,061 - $95,340 for RN

  • Fixed-term - part-time 0.8FTE (32 hours per week) opportunity until January 2025

In this role you will be working from the Dunstan Hospital as part of the Central Lakes community mental health team. You will coordinate triage and intake for the Central Lakes CAFMHS service that covers Queenstown, Wanaka, Dunstan and Cromwell. It's the perfect work / life balance you have been looking for.

Mō te tūranga - About the role

This position will see you undertaking the important triage, intake role across central lakes, whilst managing a limited small caseload, providing assessment, treatment and co-working to facilitate the best outcome for rangatahi and whanau. You will enjoy working collaboratively alongside other experienced clinical staff to promote healthy whanau systems and be able to form sound links with external agencies.

Mōu ake - About you

You will bring to this role flexibility, experience in triage and working with rangatahi and their whanau within a multidisciplinary setting. We provide thorough orientation to the position and will support your ongoing professional development needs.

To be considered for this position you must have relevant mental health experience, experience in working with young people experiencing mental health issues, hold current registration and an annual practising certificate as either a Registered Nurse with a scope of practice that allows you to work in Mental Health or as an Allied Health Professional (Social Worker, Occupational Therapist).

You will be required to participate on an after-hours on call roster and be a DAO (Duly Authorised Officer) or willing to undertake training. A current, full driver's licence is essential.

Utu whānui - Salary range

This role falls between step one ($59,035 p.a) and step 8 ($85,992 p.a pro rata) of the Allied, Public Health and Technical scale. Or between step two ($72,061) and step seven ($95,340) of the Registered Nursing scale.
