Salary band - $107,000 to $123,900 p.a prorata and Kiwisaver
- Support leadership for Ward 11 and the Mental Health Resource team
- Fixed-term opportunity up until 31st March 2024
- 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)

Mō te tūranga - About the role
This Associate Charge Nurse Manager role includes the following:
- Complement both the nursing leadership and management of both the Ward 11 and Mental Health Addictions and Intellectual Disability (MHAID) Resource teams
- Play a key part to play in overseeing patient flow through the service and take a lead role in shift-to-shift roster management
- Manage the MHAID Resource team shift to shift roster variances
- Cover planned absences in the After-Hours Clinical Nurse Coordinator role which works the hours of 2pm to 10.30pm
- Model mental health nursing care, based on theoretical knowledge and experience of acute mental health
- Collaborate with and supervise Nurses and Mental Health Care Assistants
- Continue to develop your knowledge and skills to enhance practice and contribution to the team
- Maintain ongoing development of ward programmes within a SafeWards framework

Our ideal candidate will:
- have registered Nurse qualifications and a current APC
- hold a post graduate qualifications (relevant to mental health), at a minimum a postgraduate certificate (or working towards).
- be a respected professional in your own right, and an exceptional team member with strong communication skills
- be positive and confident registered nurse who has the drive and enthusiasm to motivate staff and engage them in their clinical development.
