- Salary band $83,000 - $115,000 per annum and Kiwisaver
- 1 FTE position (40 hours a week)
- Project based - Fixed-term until June 2025
- Excellent opportunity to coordinate our outreach services
Lead and collaborate with the wider senior leadership team to support primary care in a tertiary environment and provide an antenatal and postnatal midwifery service to persons accessing the outreach which would include caseload team/s model when needed.
Mō te tūranga - About the role
- Support the provision of an outreach service which meets the need of whanau, monitoring whanau needs, clinical outcomes, whanau satisfaction and clinical standards
- Coordinate resources to meet identified needs, encompassing staff and equipment
- Monitor communication and documentation standards
- Notify managers any areas of concern e.g. disciplinary matters, practice issues
- Provide clinical and professional leadership
- Ensure discharge planning/handover of care to a well child provider processes are robust and timely
- Demonstrate an understanding of consumables within the service, and assists in identifying variances
- Ensure the service is appropriately staffed and best practice human resource standards are met,
- Manage quality and risk programmes
Mōu ake - About you
- It is essential that you are a NZ Registered Midwife and hold a current APC
- Hold a relevant post-graduate qualification
- Demonstrate sound professional judgement
- Have relevant knowledge of patient safety and resource management
- Demonstrate clinical quality, safety and best practice
- Confidence to build successful working relationships with those around you, the ability to work independently or within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Confidence with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey

Utu whānui - Salary range
This role falls under the terms and conditions of the MERAS Midwives Collective Agreement (1 February 2024 - 30 April 2025) and falls between Step 2 ($83,667 p.a pro-rata) and Step 8 ($115,715 p.a prorata) of the Community Midwives Salary Scale.
