Mō te tūranga - About the role
The Pharmacy service provides a full clinical and operational service to Southland Hospital. We provide a wide range of clinical services encompassing both generalist and specialist skills so there is no better place to move your career forward.
The role will include inventory management, stock control, ward supply, general office and clerical duties and assisting in the general day to day running of the dispensary. This role will be Monday to Friday.
Mōu ake - About you
To succeed in this role, you will need to have:
- previous experience with stock management
- demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals
- excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
- the ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused
- high levels of personal and professional integrity.
Hospital experience is preferred although not essential.
It is also essential you can pick things up quickly, perform in an accurate and precise manner and work well within a diverse and ever-changing environment.

Utu whānui - Salary range
This role belongs to the APEX Pharmacy Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($63,842) and Step 5 ($76,737) p.a pro-rata of the Pharmacy Assistant scale.
