Administrator – Mental Health

  • Southland Hospital, permanent part-time role – 36 hours per week
  • Salary Between $73,476 - $76,551 –p.a prorata + KiwiSaver

 About the Role

As a pivotal member of our team you will be a quick thinker who will be able to deliver effective, confidential and professional support to our staff, providing robust secretarial, clerical and reception services. This role may include at least one day weekend work in the IPU. This role will involve working with the different teams in the Mental Health Service.

You will be responsible for:

  • Effectively contributing to the smooth running of the Mental Health Service and in particular the assigned modality.
  • Providing efficient and timely administrative support functions that is responsible and flexible to the changing needs of the service/organisation.
  • Equality of administrative processes around the Mental Health Service to allow staff to perform their duties throughout the service where administration is required.
  • Ensuring the patient journey through the Mental Health Service is as stress free as possible for the patient, it is achieved in a timely and accurate manner utilising the Mental Health and Hospital patient management systems.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Prior administration experience preferably with experience in the health sector
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.

You must be a team player with fantastic communication skills, who understands and appreciates the need for attention to detail. In addition, your strong computer and systems knowledge will see you succeed in this position.
