Health Care Assistant – Medical Ward

  • Southland Hospital, permanent 0.8 FTE role available
  • Salary between $60,100 and $70,358 per annum pro rata

About the Role

As Health Care Assistant you will be involved in:

  • Supporting our nurses and other members of the healthcare team
  • Patient supervision and/or movement
  • Stock reconciliation
  • Ward maintenance
  • Patient cares, as required

About you

We are seeking applications from those with previous health care experience, and from those who are dynamic, friendly and can demonstrate a high level of initiative. You will be committed to high standards of practice, be well organised and have excellent communication skills.

It is important that candidates are motivated, flexible, have a level of maturity about them and of course plenty of enthusiasm. Our induction includes a two-day training programme to ensure you are fully equipped to under the role as a valuable part of the team.

  • Experience working with people in a caring capacity
