About the role

We are looking for an experienced enrolled nurse to support our team on a permanent, part-time basis.

Tasks for this district nursing role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Providing care to a diverse range of patients in the community
  • Contributing to nursing assessments, care planning implementation and evaluation of care for health consumers and/or families/whānau (with the registered nurse maintaining overall responsibility for the plan of care)
  • Assisting health consumers with nursing care activities, observing changes in condition and reporting to the registered nurse
  • Undertaking other nursing care responsibilities appropriate to assessed competence
  • Working in partnership with health consumers, families/whānau and multidisciplinary teams

About you:

  • Be passionate, committed and most importantly, have a positive attitude
  • Have some previous experience in a surgical, medical or community setting (desirable but not essential)
  • Be capable of working autonomously
  • Have the physical fitness required to meet the demands of the role
  • Hold a full, clean driver's licence - essential
