About the role
This role offers the opportunity to work with patients who have a mental illness in a community setting. The successful candidate may be required to contribute to the on-call roster supporting the Southern Rivers Community Mental Health Team crisis service, should the need arise. You will receive specialist Duly Authorised Officer (Mental Health Act 1992 and amendments) training. Remuneration for these duties is in addition to your salary as a Registered Nurse.

About you
Our ideal candidate will:
- have previously demonstrated a commitment to best practice standards and a clear model of practice
- be inclusive of the seven Real Skills of Let's get real (www.tepou.co.nz)
- have a strong sense of self, a positive can-do attitude, and a commitment to working cohesively in a large and dynamic multidisciplinary team
- be a Registered Nurse with a current APC and a scope of practice in Mental Health
- hold a current full New Zealand driver licence.
