Registered Nurse Critical Care at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Southern, Southland

  • Permanent, part-time roles
  • This role will work morning, afternoon and night shifts
  • Salary band - $81,683 - $106,739 p.a. pro-rata

About the role

This role is part of a friendly and professional multidisciplinary team working in a modern hospital with first-rate facilities. We take great pride in our sense of community down south, and you will see this in the tight knit family feel amongst the staff.

  • Case load is both ICU, HDU and coronary care patients
  • Modern unit with six bed capacity
  • Deliver life support services to critically ill patients
  • Leads Cardiac Arrest team and Cardiac Telemetry Monitoring Service

About you

Our ideal candidate will:

  • be an adaptive, hardworking nurse who is empathetic
  • be able to quickly build a rapport with patients and their families
  • treat everyone with kindness and respect, bring a positive attitude, and value openness and honesty
  • adapt to rapidly changing clinical situations
  • have essential recent high-acuity nursing experience
  • have critical care experience (desirable but non-essential)
  • have New Zealand working rights.
