About the role
As a theatre suite assistant, you will be involved in:
- supporting our nurses and other members of the healthcare team
- patient handling and transfers
- transporting specimens and blood
- cleaning of department and communal facilities daily
- restocking and setting up of equipment
- answering phones, and much more!
Becoming a healthcare/theatre suite assistant in the health sector is a great opportunity to:

- gain a NZQA Level 3 certificate (Health and Wellbeing for hospitals and health sector). Fees are fully funded.

It is important that candidates are motivated, flexible, have a level of maturity about them and of course plenty of enthusiasm. Experience working with people in a caring capacity is also essential, whether than experience is gained from within a professional environment, or from caring for children or family members. Our induction includes a two-day training programme to ensure you are fully equipped to under the role as a valuable part of the team. You must have the right to work in New Zealand to apply for this position.
