Mō te tūranga - About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner who has experience in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and care planning for Tangata whai ora who have a mental illness, within our Community Mental Health team, based in Invercargill.
We understand the enormous value that a Nurse Practitioner can bring to the team, we are seeking a Nurse Practitioner who can deliver high quality care, bring clinical excellence and a passion for improving the health and wellbeing of our Tangata whai ora.
Mōu ake - About you
As a part of our team you will work autonomously, but also work in conjunction with an integrated and multi-disciplinary team to deliver quality evidence based care to your own case load, you will also have the opportunity to provide initial assessments for new referrals to the service. There is a variety of work within our team. As part of this role you will have regular contact with other Te Whatu Ora Health Services, and NGOs, so you must be an excellent communicator who is adept at interacting with Tangata whai ora, colleagues and external organisations, always striving to ensure the best results.

You will be a Registered Nurse Practitioner. It is desirable that you hold relevant post graduate qualifications in addictions or are willing to work towards post graduate qualifications.
