- Monday - Friday - mix of morning, afternoon and swing shifts
- 0.4 FTE (32 hours per fortnight)

Mō te tūranga - About the role
Our Medical Ward has a new opportunity for an experienced registered nurse with an interest in coaching and mentoring new team members. We have significant a number of new team members starting with our team within a short time frame and we are looking for an experienced nurse with a strong nursing background to promote, facilitate and provide education and support in clinical skills, policies and procedures and knowledge of our Medical Ward environment to our newer nursing team members so that they can function as fully independent members of our team, as well a supporting current staff learning new specialty procedures.
Mōu ake - About you
We're looking for a registered nurse with strong credible clinical leadership skills.
You will also have the following:
- A current New Zealand Registration and APC
- A current Portfolio (PDRP or equivalent) or be working towards one - Level 3 or 4
- Previous preceptorship experience or Adult teaching qualifications would be an advantage
- Strong communication, mentoring, and coaching skills
- A first-rate knowledge of professional standards and regulations for Nurses with impeccable practice standards and nursing speciality knowledge
- The ability to work as part of team in a collaborative manner

Utu whānui -Salary range
This role belongs to the DHB/NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between Step 5 ($89,868 p.a. pro-rata) and Step 7 ($95,340) p.a. pro-rata of the Registered Nurse Salary Scale.
