Are you willing to help in the fight against COVID?
We are seeking highly motivated Registered or Enrolled Nurses and Midwifes to join our collaborative team in Invercargill on a fixed-term basis. As one of our vaccinators, you will work as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team.
A range of hours and immediate start dates will be available for the preferred candidates. The successful candidates must be provisional or authorised vaccinators or willing to complete training when available and hold a valid annual practicing certificate (APC).
About the role
Our vaccinators work across a range of roles in the designated vaccination clinic including screening, clinical assessment, informed consent, cold chain management, reconstitution and drawing up of the vaccine, vaccination, post vaccine observation, documentation and clinically manage any post vaccination reaction. Vaccinators will undertake tasks and roles as outlined in the SOPs for the Southern DHB overall Covid-19 Response Programme.

The rostered hours of work are Monday to Sunday.
We are looking for nurses are organised and flexible team players, who can maintain a high standard of practice in a high-paced environment, and at times, in off-site environments.
To be successful, you will need the following:
- A current annual practicing certificate and current registration with Nursing Council
- A provisional or authorised vaccinator status
- Strong time management and the ability to be flexible in your work
- Commitment to providing best practice and outcomes for whanau
- The ability to use your initiative and a demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
