About the role
We are looking for an Administration Officer to join us on a part-time basis, (0.5 FTE), for 20 hours per week.
Working alongside our Dietetics team at Southland Hospital, our administration officer will be responsible for a range of administrative duties including entering patient referral information onto the iPM patient management system, booking appointments, managing a waiting list, management of documents, and general reception duties.
Our administration officers may also be required to cover other services at times, therefore flexibility and a willingness to learn are essential.
You will have a clear and transparent communication style and have an enthusiastic attitude towards your work.
In order to be successful in this position you will also need to demonstrate the following:
- The ability to work autonomously and as an effective team member
- Adept at using your initiative and motivation to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Strong I.T skills, including the ability to learn and use a range of computer programmes
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of people
The salary for this position is currently between $48,220 and $51,240 per annum, as in accordance with the PSA South lsland Administrative Employees Collective Employment Agreement and will be based on relevant experience and qualifications. This is inclusive of the PSA Clerical and Administrative Staff Pay Equity Interim Adjustment, made by Southern DHB on 16 April 2021.
