Administrator - Child, Adolescent and Family Service

  • Permanent, part-time (32 hours per week)
  • Southland Hospital, Invercargill

About the role - About you

As a pivotal member of our team you'll deliver effective, confidential and professional support to our staff, providing robust secretarial, clerical, and reception services.

Your responsibilities will be varied and cover reception and office administration duties including but not limited to; Dictaphone typing, transcriptions, booking appointments and co-ordinating psychiatrist's clinics, managing and booking diary appointments and meetings, telephone enquiries, emails, liaising with consumers and whanau, data entry and maintenance; keeping records and files up to date, assisting clinicians where necessary, coordinating office operations, etc.

Experience in a busy office and a high level of computer competency including Outlook Express and Word, organisational and communication skills, ability to manage multiple deadlines and initiative is, therefore, necessary. It is expected that applicants will have a minimum of two years administration experience when applying for this role.

To be successful in this role you will need to have a pro-active attitude to your work, have great attention to detail, be well organised and have excellent time management skills.

A friendly manner alongside outstanding customer service is a key requirement of this role.

The salary for this position is in accordance with the DHBs/PSA South Island Administrative Employees Collective Agreement (taking into account the PSA Clerical and Administrative Staff Pay Equity Interim Adjustment, made by Southern DHB on 16 April 2021) and is between $52,080 and $56,641 pro rata depending on skills and experience.
