Registered Nurse - Southern Rivers Community Mental Health at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Southern, Southland

Mō te tūranga - About the role

Now is an exciting time to join the team we have a part-time opportunity for a Registered Nurse based in Gore working as part of the Southern Rivers Community Mental Health team. This role will see you working with patients with serious mental illness in a community setting.

The successful candidate will take part in an on-call after hours' roster supporting the Southern Rivers Community Mental Health team crisis service. You will receive specialist Duly Authorised Officer (Mental Health Act 1992 and amendments) training. Remuneration for these duties is in addition to the usual salary scale for a Community Nurse.

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • You will have previously demonstrated a commitment to best practice standards and your model of practice will be inclusive of the seven Real Skills of Let's get real (www.tepou.co.nz)
  • Have a strong sense of 'self', a positive 'can do' attitude and a commitment to working cohesively in a large and dynamic multidisciplinary team
  • Registered Nurse with a current APC that allows you to practice in mental health
  • Current full New Zealand driver's licence

Utu whānui - Salary range

This role belongs to the DHBs/NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($59,834 p.a) and Step 8 ($88,757 p.a pro rata).
