Mō te tūranga - About the role
- Provide outpatient clinics and outreach services to people living in Invercargill and the wider Southland area
- Work within an innovative service, with an integrated model of care across community and inpatient settings
- Apply your experience to provide optimal assessment, treatment, and psychotherapy for those experiencing moderate to severe psychological distress
- Apply diagnostics, formulation, treatment planning and cognitive therapy skills alongside our multi-disciplinary team
- Provide follow-up to clients through a key worker/case manager system
It is expected that you will also assist in the support and mentoring of intern psychologists.

- Motivated team player with exceptional communication and time management skills
- Previous demonstrated experience of working with adult patients with mental illness in a community setting
- Current registration with the NZ Psychologists Board and a current Annual Practicing Certificate with a Clinical Scope of Practice
- Thrive in a busy and diverse working environment, with the ability to work well in stressful situations
- Demonstrated commitment to clinical and professional development, including continuous learning and updating of skills and knowledge

Utu whānui - Salary range
This role belongs to the DHBs/APEX Psychologists Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($85,000 p.a) and Step 10 ($130,000 p.a pro rata).
