About the role
Due to internal movement, we have a great opportunity for a someone passionate about financial controls and procedures to join our Assurance and Performance team on a fixed term contract until December 2023 as a Financial Process and Reporting Analyst.
You will be joining a small, supportive team who are passionate about helping someone develop their career in this area.
The Financial Process and Reporting Analyst will be primarily responsible for:
- Developing financial control process and procedures supporting all Digital & Information Services (D&IS) cost centres
- Developing the standing operation procedures and analysis of spend across supplies, projects and cost centres
- Producing monthly reporting to support better financial decision making
In this role, you will:
- Maintain the contract database for D&IS
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of all invoices
- Collate information across D&IS to support the production of monthly reporting
- Reconcile invoices and expenditure against contracts to determine performance of supplier
- Develop standard operating procedures for staff responsible for invoice coding across D&IS
To be successful, you will bring:
- Proven experience and ability to act with a high degree of independence and accountability
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
- Good level of numeracy, analytical and reporting skills
- Competent in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- A passion to learn more and ability to drive own learning
- A flexible working style and ability to adapt in ambiguous situations

Salary range
As part of our remuneration framework the full salary range for the position is from $73,705 - $98,273 and our expected starting base salary for the right person is from $73,705 to $81,894. Note: KiwiSaver/SSRSS employer contribution is additional to/on top of your base salary.
