About your team / Ko te tīma
The Communications and Government Services business unit brings together our performance planning and reporting, ministerial services, and communications functions.
This is to ensure we have appropriate governance frameworks, processes and reporting in place, and deliver our outward-facing deliverables including our accountability reporting, to high and consistent standards.
About the role / Ō te tūranga
The Ministerial Coordinator is responsible for managing official documents within our organisation and with the Office of the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety. This includes handling briefings, aides memoire, official correspondence, Official Information Act requests, and Parliamentary Questions. The role can also involve advising staff on document processes and procedures, as well as monitoring and reporting on the status, delivery, and performance of ministerial servicing.

What You'll Bring / Ko ngā pukenga ōu
- A tertiary qualification or relevant experience is essential
- Understanding of, or experience in, the public sector and familiarity with Parliamentary protocols and the Official Information Act 1982 is desirable
- Accomplished time management skills and ability to manage work to meet deadlines
- Strong situational awareness, an ability to identify, assess and mitigate risk and make sound decisions and apply good judgement
- A strong customer focus and commitment to excellent customer service, with well-developed relationship management skills and good negotiation skills.

Salary range / Awhe utu
As part of our remuneration framework the full salary range for the position is from $66,440 to $86,546, and our expected starting base salary for the right person is from $66,440 to $73,066. Note: KiwiSaver/SSRSS employer contribution is additional too/on top of your base salary.
