About your team / Ko te tīma  

Strategy Implementation is a small group with a broad skillset focused on supporting the organisation to embed the strategy and transition to the key shifts required.  

The Strategy Implementation group provides the systems and processes needed to implement, embed, and monitor WorkSafe's strategy and functional model.   

We will also be looking to the future and positioning WorkSafe to build on the successes of the past, by navigating how we mature as an effective and trusted regulator under our strategy and functional model.  

About the role / Ō te tūranga  

This role will provide programme structure, support and advice across the Strategy Implementation group. The role will support programme leads to plan, organise, track, and report on key project and programme activities. You'll help implement effective project methodologies and consistent processes to support strong governance and efficient workflow management.  

This role requires a self-starter with strong judgement, excellent prioritisation skills, and the confidence to manage both up and across the organisation. The ideal candidate will bring a collaborative approach to their work, thriving in a fast-paced environment where initiative and clear communication are key. What You'll Do/ Ko tōu ake mahi   

  • Develop and manage central reporting and risk frameworks, ensuring tracking, escalation, and appropriate reporting of deliverables, risks, and issues.  
  • Maintain an integrated schedule of strategic activities and support overall programme management and governance processes.  
  • Provide implementation tools, templates, and methodologies to ensure consistency across workstreams.  
  • Assist with stakeholder engagement logistics, including preparation for meetings and workshops, and development of related materials.  
  • Foster effective relationships, anticipate team needs, proactively address issues, and support delivery of strategic initiatives.  

 What You'll Bring / Ko ngā pukenga ōu   

  • Proven experience in programme or project coordination, with a solid understanding of project management processes.  
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, both written and verbal.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, especially Excel, presentations, and collaboration tools.  
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage priorities while delivering quality work on time and within budget.

Salary range / Awhe utu  

As part of our remuneration framework the full salary range for the position is from $72,624 to $94,941. Note: KiwiSaver/SSRSS employer contribution is additional to/on top of your base salary.
