About your team / Ko te tīma
Part of the Operations Group, Regulatory Assurance provide expert advice on regulatory best practice, including through managing WorkSafe's Practice Framework. We also support the implementation of operational policy and regulatory changes and provide internal assurance activities to support continuous improvement of core regulatory activities.
About the role / Ō te tūranga
As the Systems Assurance Advisor, you'll help design, implement, monitor, and test key controls that manage regulatory and operational risks. You'll provide advice to the business, contribute to continuous improvement, and strengthen our risk and compliance culture.
This role plays a key part in giving confidence to senior leadership by ensuring our control systems support WorkSafe's obligations, expectations, and ongoing performance.
What You'll Do/ Ko tōu ake mahi
- Provide risk and control advice to the Operations group.
- Support ongoing improvement of risk and control culture across the business
- Maintain the legislative obligations register and ensure it remains current
- Deliver assurance activities, including monitoring and testing of controls
- Feed insights from testing into updated processes and continuous improvement
- Produce reporting, insights, and recommendations for a range of audiences
- Support development of new controls, policies, and processes for new obligations
- Build strong relationships that promote effective risk and compliance practices

- Effective communication and relationship‑building skills
- Experience working collaboratively across teams
- Familiarity with legislation and regulatory environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365
- Ability to support and influence continuous improvement

Salary range / Awhe utu
As part of our remuneration framework the full salary range for the position is from $81,587 to $106,892, and our expected starting base salary for the right person is from $81,587 to $90,021. Note: KiwiSaver/SSRSS employer contribution is additional to/on top of your base salary.
