About your team / Ko te tīma

The Authorisations and Advisory team play a critical role in supporting WorkSafe's regulatory functions. We provide expert advice, oversight and assurance across a range of authorisation regimes and work closely with internal teams, industry partners and stakeholders to strengthen health and safety outcomes.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team in a newly established role and help shape how WorkSafe engages with and monitors third-party operators into the future.

About the role / Ō te tūranga

As our Senior Advisor Third Party Relationships, you'll lead the design and implementation of a new third-party relationship management framework that strengthens WorkSafe's oversight of third-party operators across authorisation regimes.

This 12-month fixed-term opportunity offers the chance to build something new from the ground up. You'll work with internal specialists, leaders and external partners to create practical, risk-informed approaches to performance monitoring, information sharing and regulatory assurance. Your work will help establish clearer expectations, stronger relationships and better decision-making across the system.

What You'll Do/ Ko tōu ake mahi

• Design a new third-party relationship management framework 
• Build trusted relationships with third-party operators and partners 
• Develop performance monitoring and reporting approaches 
• Identify opportunities to strengthen oversight and assurance 
• Lead engagement and implementation planning activities 
• Provide evidence-based advice to leaders and stakeholders

• Experience designing frameworks, operating models or new approaches 
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills 
• Ability to build trust and influence across diverse groups 
• Experience using performance information to support decision-making 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• Confidence navigating complex environments and competing priorities

Salary range / Awhe utu

As part of our remuneration framework, the full salary range for this role is $112,754 -$147,932. The expected appointment base salary is $112,754 -$124,480 (KiwiSaver/SSRSS employer contributions are additional). From 1 April 2026 our KiwiSaver employer contribution increased to 3.5%.
