Ngā kawenga | About the role

Ask those who work for Ara Poutama Aotearoa about what it's like, they will often say; the passion for making a difference is incredible, the work is highly stimulating, and you're exposed to a wide range of challenges and exciting opportunities.

The Recruitment Advisor role is one of those opportunities. This role represents an opportunity to shape a new way of working while providing exceptional recruitment support across the region with a specific focus on attraction and retention in our Frontline space.

We want to throw out the rule book when it comes to recruitment, obviously there are policies and processes to follow but how can we do things differently? It's a tough environment to be recruiting in at the moment so we need people who can engage with all our stakeholders with confidence, passion and empathy.

He kōrero mōu | About you

As an experienced Recruitment professional, you will relish the opportunity to work in an environment where the work is both varied and complex.  You will have experience working within an organisation where compliance with both policy and process is essential and have the ability to deliver operational recruitment effectively and efficiently.

All those ideas you have around attraction, retention, doing things differently are welcomed along with demonstrated experience with the following:

  • Ability to build trusted relationships across an organisation
  • Knowledge of Springboard ATS – Not essential but an understanding of how an ATS runs effectively
  • Work with competency profiles and psychometric assessments to identify ‘potential' in candidates who come from all walks of life. We use Talegent for our psychometrics across the organisation
  • Facilitation of assessment centres

We are looking for a great human – first and foremost! You are a competent team-player who can show an understanding (or an openness to developing an understanding) of the Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application to the work of government departments.

Utu ā-tau | Salary

The salary range for this position is $66,411-$93,756, Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
