Social Worker at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Wairarapa, Wairarapa

About the Role

If you have a passion for working with clients and their whānau to support them through their health journey and have previous experience in a health setting we would love to hear from you. The Social Work team is a small dynamic team that works in an interdisciplinary manner both within the hospital and in the community, and has strong links with the wider Allied Health team, Community Nursing and local community support services. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in your community.

This is a part time, permanent role working 48 hours per fortnight (0.6 FTE)

About the Team/Service/ Location

The Social Work team is part of the wider Allied Health multidisciplinary team providing support to clients, their whānau and community. The team is based at Masterton Hospital and works across the Wairarapa region with patients and their whānau in acute inpatient, outpatient and community settings.

About you

  • NZ Registered Social Worker with current Annual Practicing Certificate.
  • Current full NZ driver's license with ability to drive a manual and automatic car.
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical practice essential.
  • Experience in working in health (preferable)
