Ward Administrator (Fixed Term) at Wairarapa District Health Board, Wairarapa

This is a Fixed Term role, working 64 hours per fortnight. These hours will be primarily be between 7.30am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday (note some public holidays will be required to be worked on a rostered basis). Actual hours / rosters will be discussed at interview.

This role will cover all of the main ward areas within the hospital, giving variety and challenge. You will need to be a fast learner and highly adaptable, with exceptional prioritisation skills to manage a busy workload. You will need to show you can use your initiative and work unsupervised.

You will have accurate keyboard skills and data input, and having the ability to work as part of a team is also essential.

You will also have a high level of communication skills with the ability to be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide range of health professionals, patients and external agencies. You will also need to be able to handle sensitive and highly private information with integrity and in a confidential manner.
